Miss L and the smile challenge

Little Miss L is such a sweetheart, but she is also very stingy with her smiles.  She's a very serious little girl, but her smiles--when she shares them with you--can light up a room.

The M family

There are so many wonderful experiences I've encountered while stumbling along my photographic journey, but one of my favorites is having the opportunity to photograph friends.  Friends who have given so much to me including, but certainly not limited to, their time, their friendship, a helping hand, and a much needed hug.
This family means so much to us and I hope these photos will help give back a little of the joy that they soften bring to our lives.

By the way, I should mention that it was about 39 degrees out when we took these!  Everyone was a real trooper, but needless to say, we got in, we shot, we got out!

Sweet Baby R

This is a sneak peek of sweet little Miss R.  This baby girl was a D-R-E-A-M!  She was out like a light and let me play around with so many things I wanted to try.  I have 7 newborns lined up to practice on between now and February and she is the.only.girl!  Many thanks to her parents for welcoming me into their home for so long and for trusting me with their new precious gift.  I loved every minute of my time there.  I have tons more to edit, but just couldn't wait to share a few!

F is for Family

Another first!  I was so excited to tackle my first maternity session this weekend!  The F family is so sweet and were such good sports.  N has about 8 weeks to go and she was such a trooper...I had the poor girl climbing up on logs, sitting on the ground, all sorts of things that most pregnant women would not be keen on doing.  And the best part? She did it with a smile!  That's a good friend!

The Charming C Family

This was my first family session and I couldn't be happier with it.  It was so much fun because this family brings such joy to my life.  They are dear friends who indulged every photographic whim I had.  The rusty gate is down the street from me and I've had my eye on it for a couple of months.  It's just off a busy road and would have normally been inaccessible due to traffic, except for the bridge next to it which has been out for quite some time.  I felt this was the perfect opportunity to fulfill my dream of shooting there, and it's a good thing we did as the bridge reopened just a few days later!  I hope they enjoy viewing these photos as much as I did taking them!  As an aside, I would like to thank them for all of their support throughout my journey...they are true friends in every respect.
